Corporate Events

First FloorJaywick Martello Tower can offer the right venue to make your corporate event unique. The Tower is available for hire for up to 35 people for conferences and meetings and 60 people for corporate events.

Hot water urn and tea and coffee can be provided for a small cost.

Available equipment: Data projector, laptop with wireless broadband internet access, screen, flipchart. There is no separate charge for equipment. 

 

 

CeremonyCivil Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Renewal of Vows and Naming Ceremonies 

There are three rooms available, choose from the intimate sun room with stunning panaramic coastal views to the garrison room holding up to 60 guests.

 

The historic building & stunning coastline make it perfect for those lasting photographic memories.

Terms and Conditions

  • Days are restricted to days closed to the public. Please check with the venue for available days.
  • Once you have decided on Jaywick Martello Tower as your venue then you are required to contact Colchester Register Office (01206 540626) to discuss the legal requirements and book a Registrar to conduct the ceremony.
  • The charge excludes:

Booking and cost of registrar and/or other officials.

Decorations including chair covers, flowers etc.

Refreshments.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. The outstanding balance is due a week before the event.
  • The Sun Room availability is weather dependent. The Registrar may decide to move to another room to perform the ceremony if unhappy with conditions.
  • The Martello Room seats up to 30 people, the Garrison room seats up to 60 people and the Sun Room seats up to 20 people.Happy Couple
  • Please note for legal reasons, we are not able to supply alcohol during the ceremony. Food or drink may not be consumed in the ceremony room an hour prior to and during the service.
  • The price includes glasses for drinks in another room to where the ceremony will take place.
  • The venue is available by appointment only to decorate and remove decorations from the venue.
  • The hirer is responsible for all decorations such as flowers etc.
  • Due to the nature of the building no decorations may be attached to wood or brickwork, and no candles are permitted. Advice can be given on decoration hanging by venue staff.
  • We will provide tables and chairs for the ceremony.
  • A CD player is available for use; it is the hirer’s responsibility to supply the music.
