Tides of Tendring - Multiple Roles

The Friends of Jaywick Martello Tower are looking for artists and poets of all different mediums to join the Tides of Tendring Project.


Poet

Rate of pay: Payment will be £200 a day for 3 days work
Project timescale: June to August 2019

The Poet will be needed to lead a creative writing response to the work undertaken from the Tides project which will be a part of the exhibition and experience at Jaywick Martello Tower in August. They will be required to work alongside the project graphic artist.

Photographer

Rate of pay: Payment will be £100 per session (half day) over 4 days. 1 x session pr day.
Project timescale: August 2019

Are you passionate about the environment and raising awareness of coastal issues? The project is looking to hire a photographer to run four introductions to photography workshops/sessions within the local community of Jaywick Sands that have a focus on the local habitat. The work will help raise awareness of flooding and its effects on the environment and wildlife and support the Tides of Tendring exhibition.

Artist (any discipline)

Rate of pay: Payment will be £200 for 1 days work (5 available)
Project timescale: August 2019

We are looking for a community artist from any discipline to engage the public on the Tides project. Are you passionate about sharing with and engaging the public through arts or entertainment? The project is looking to hire an artist from any discipline to support the project by using their skills and experience within the local community of Jaywick Sands to raise awareness of the exhibition and its important wider message about flooding.

Graphic Artist

Rate of pay: Payment will be £200 a day for 3 days work
Project timescale: July to August 2019

The project is looking for a graphic artist to lead a creative response for the project, it will require running a series of workshops inspired by the project research and working alongside the project poet.
